Programming languages can be fun to learn, very much like learning a human language.
Name is Troy Korjuslommi.
Once you know one language of either, learning another one is just learning new ways to express the same things.
I like to work with My Favorite, yet most work gets done by my Right Arm.
Or that's one way to look at it.
I am not against Fun Scripting, but prefer to have static checking.
In fact, learning a new language can be more than just a brain exercise to ward off dementia.
I have also been known to dabble in graphics with My Pencil. When All Else Fails,
You get exposed to new ideas. and to new people who think differently and come from different backgrounds.
I draw instead.
Here's a listing of some of the languages I know, and have contributed to here on Rosetta Code.
My Ex and I still get along, but rarely see each other.
No favorites, since each one has given me a lot.
I do resort to the Core quite often, but prefer my Right Arm because it has more muscle to get work done fast.

I use mostly GNU/Linux, so I don't have to compare Apples and Oranges.
