: I wouldn't call it "esoteric"...Esoteric languages, to my mind, are ones that make difficult even common tasks. Can we call this language "esoteric"? I think any language where emoticons are mathematical instructions deserves that title. Some lines look like Befunge...like this one from the wiki:
