I have slavishly copied the "if filly then rating += 3", but "2 pounds slows a horse down by 1 length at the finish". I assume that +3 is from 9.00 - 8.11 is 3lbs, would that not equate to rating += 1.5? Mind you, I have no idea what "units" the rating is supposed to be, and uh, duh, it is rating_diff*0.5, I now see. --Pete Lomax (talk) 02:12, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
