GPS is an example of an Integrated Development Environment, a class of software which typically combines enhanced editing and debugging features.

GPS (GNAT Programming Studio) is a free IDE written in Ada based on GTK+. GPS supports multiple programming languages, though mainly is used with the GNAT Ada compiler. GPS is maintained by AdaCore. The home page of GPS is located here.
