CodeWarrior is an example of an Integrated Development Environment, a class of software which typically combines enhanced editing and debugging features.

Metrowerks CodeWarrior[1] is a primarily C++ compiler and IDE for microprocessors and microcontrollers developed by Freescale Semiconductor[2] as commercial software. It had formerly targeted Mac Carbon, Windows, various flavors of Unix, earlier mobile systems and videogame consoles, prior to Freescale's acquisition of Metrowerks[3].
