When you make an edit to a page, it is much appreciated if you put a brief summary of what was edited / why you made the edit in the (appropriately named) Summary field below the editing textarea. Hi KenS, When you make an edit to a page, it is much appreciated if you put a brief summary of what was edited / why you made the edit in the (appropriately named) Summary field below the editing textarea. It helps other interested parties find edits and helps with the oversight process. When interested parties check the [[Special:RecentChanges]] page, it is helpful to be able to scan the edit summaries to see what edits they may be interested in. If you go to the [[Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing|Editing tab on the user preferences page]] you can select the radio-button "Warn me when I leave an edit page with unsaved changes" to give you a reminder.
