Greetings, fellow BASIC cheerleader

I've noticed some of the changes you've made, and for the most part there are no problems, but there are a few things I feel are worth mentioning:

  • Redirect pages really shouldn't be added to categories. I've noticed that you added Category:Web Application in some places, but that should really go in the target of the redirect, not the redirect itself. Adding a redirect to a category just clutters up the cat list with duplicates.
  • If you feel that an existing topic should be a category and not just a simple page, e.g. Microsoft Small Basic -> Category:Microsoft Small Basic, rather than copying everything over, move the page. That will create a redirect for you and save you the trouble of copy-pasting. (I realize in that specific case the cat page already existed; I don't know why Chris S didn't do so him/herself.)
  • If a topic should be a category, it rarely also needs a non-category page. This isn't Wikipedia ;-) and we can put topic info in the category page if we want.

Beyond that, keep up the good work! -- Erik Siers (talk) 18:10, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
