:: Why thank you, Dgamey. I tinkered with SNOBOL4 myself a looooooong time ago, so my thought processes vis a vis the SNOBOL4 way to go are very, very rusty. Welcome

Welcome to RC. I saw your comment on idiomatic SNOBOL4 usage, and as an old SNOBOL hack had a chuckle and thought I'd say hello. Also, you may want to investigate Unicon and Icon which are less idiomatic grandchildren of SNOBOL. --Dgamey 16:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Why thank you, Dgamey. I tinkered with SNOBOL4 myself a looooooong time ago, so my thought processes vis a vis the SNOBOL4 way to go are very, very rusty. I am re-familiarising myself with the language again (for obscure reasons which I'll announce in my user info once it's ready to go) and thought writing up a few tasks here could help in the process.
I am vaguely familiar with Icon (I have the books and have written a couple of small programs to get the feel) and have heard of Unicon. I still have a soft spot in my head (sic) for SNOBOL4, though, for just being such a wonky, wonderful language. --Michael T. Richter 13:05, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

CHR = Constraint Handling Rules?

Should Category:Constraint Handling Rules be merged into Category:CHR?

Probably, yes.
