Howdy, and welcome to RC.

Could you pop over to Talk:Scripted Main and explain to us exactly what you intend that task to be, please? (Paddy3118 seems to understand what you mean, but Mwn3d apparently doesn't, and I'm pretty sure that I don't.) -- Erik Siers 07:31, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Discussion in IRC

IRC can be a slow medium at times; there are a lot of folks in there but not attentive or afk. It's helpful to see a specific description of what ScriptedMain is intended to do. Come by the IRC channel again, and I'd be happy to have a realtime conversation with you. (I'll be in and out much of today, so it's probably most useful to lurk. (Or you can reach me at @rosettacode on Twitter, if you like). I haven't plopped my usual greeting in your user talk page, so allow me to introduce myself: I'm Mike. I set the site up initially, try to poke my head in and guide things if I think I need to, and I keep the servers up (or pay someone to do it where I have to). You're right; much of what Rosetta Code is about in practice is finding and ferreting out and demonstrating language behaviors, features and sufficient analogs. It's all in good faith; I'm sure we'll (meaning 'you, me, Paddy, Rdm, Mwn3d and a fair number of other folks') will get ScriptedMain figured out. If you need an interpreter, swing by IRC again and I'll help clarify things. (Like I said earlier, I'll be in and out today, but I'll respond when I have the opportunity.

Thanks for coming, and I'm looking forward to what you bring to the site! --Michael Mol 13:17, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
