தமிழ் மொழியில் ஆராய்ச்சியிலும் உருவாக்கத்திலும் இருக்கும் ஒரு கணினி நிரல் மொழி 'உயிர்' ஆகும். இஃது ஒரு பொருள்நோக்கு பணிமுறை உடன்நிகழ் நிகழ்ச்சியுந்தும் பொதுவான நிரல் மொழியாகும். தமிழ் தவிர மற்றேனைய உலக மொழிகளிலும் நிரலாக்கும் வண்ணமே உயிர் நிரல் மொழி வடிவமைக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒரு மொழியில் தீட்டிய நிரல் மற்ற எந்த ஒரு மொழிக்கும் மாற்றம் செய்துகொள்ளும் விதம் உயிர் நிரல் மொழியின் அடிப்படை சொற்களும் இலக்கணமும் அமைக்கப்படுகிறது.
'Uyir' is a general purpose object oriented functional concurrent even driven programming language. This programming language is under research and development. This programming language is getting designed in such a way that, the keywords and syntaxes will made available in all the spoken and written languages of the world, so that computer programs can be written in any of the natural languages and can be converted to any other natural language.
